Begun in 1995, Action Speaks is a radio-show series of contemporary topic- driven panel discussions framed by the theme "Underappreciated Dates that Changed America." The shows take place Wednesdays in October, National Arts & Humanities Month, at AS220 in downtown Providence in front of a diverse, lively and participating audience. The shows are recorded, edited, enhanced with audio clips and broadcast on our presenting station WGBH in Boston (89.7 FM) and on over 250 other radio affiliates around the United States. Films pertaining to the topics are shown each Sunday evening prior to Wednesday's panel discussion on Rhode Island PBS with an introductory discussion between Action Speaks Host and Creative Director Marc Levitt and one of the week's guests.

See the Radio Shows By Topics index for a list of upcoming and previously recorded shows.
