Still digesting last night's incredible Action Speaks with Lawrence Lessig, Shepard Fairey, Bert Crenca and Brandon Edens. I'd like to say that the standing room crowd that spilled out onto the street to watch the proceedings on TV, set up ingeniously by Susan Clausen and Richard Goulis, was all there to see me, but in all truth, Lawrence Lessig and Shep Fairey were the big draws. The conversation was riveting, going from creativity, to the history of copywrite legislation to looking at whether or not there is a contradiction between market and artistic values. Great to see so many people interested and passionate about ideas. The show will be posted soon and will let you know. (For images click here)
On a second note, just did an interview from our presenting station 89.7 Boston, with three significant players in the future Mabro Garbage Barge show; its Captain, Duffy St. Pierre, its owner, Lowell Harrison and the reporter who broke the story Susan Brozek Scott. Wonderful to hear how each one observed and/or remembered and/or spun the story differently. Also, got invitations for Louisiana fishing trip and a beer from Duffy and a tour of central Alabama from Lowell. I might take them up on it. Interviews posted soon.
